Almost a year ago now, I happened to see an insert in one of Karen Kingsbury's books, advertising a cruise. It is called a "Girl's Get-Away Cruise" and hosted by Karen Kingsbury.
I have never been on a cruise, and my hubby has said he'll probably never go on one, so I decided I would go. I asked my sisters if they would like to join me, so we are making it a "sista's" get-away as well. They have both been on cruises before, but this is my "maiden voyage". (I'm not sure that's the correct use of that term!)
Now that it's almost here, I'm getting very excited! This picture is of Royal Caribbean's "Grandeur of the Seas" which is the ship we will be sailing on. We start in Ft. Lauderdale, and go to Key West and Cozumel, Mexico. Among other things, we are going to try our hand at snorkeling (well, Brenda has done it before, but it's a little adventurous for Lou and I.)
I have much to do before we leave on Wednesday, so I will probably miss out on some of your blogging for a few days. Rest assured, I will have a report, complete with pictures when we return. I know we are planning on having a "Bon Voyage"!

Don't get lost on that enormous ship, Donna.
I blog with a lady, Lois...whose husband is Chief Engineer on Royal Caribbean's "Freedom of the Seas" ship. They just returned to Ohio after being on board for 2 months.
She accompanies her husband on his trips.
She has posted many photos of the ship's interior...Her blog is on my side bar..."From Lois's Hand"...she knits while onboard!
Enjoy your cruise with Brenda and Lou!
You will have a great time with your sisters.....what fun and many laughs you will have. Will be thinking of you, have a safe trip and enjoy!!!!!Hugs
Wanda--Thanks for sharing "From Lois's Hand" with me. I had not seen her blog. I enjoyed her cruise pictures!
(I was going to post a comment on your last post, but there were 63 comments, and I thought it might get lost in the shuffle. Lol!
That is so fantastic! My friend, Red, (her pic is on my left sidebar) has gone on cruises, and she keeps talking about going together when she retires from nursing. Have a great time! Bring us lots of pictures.
I can "feel" the excitement rise! I'm sure the company of sisters will make the thrill of the cruise even GREATER! I SO look forward to a pictorial (and maybe face-to-face) review of the whole experience.
(How interesting about Wanda's friend! I wonder if Gary and I could get jobs on a Cruise Ship????)
Bon Voyage Brenda, I am sure this will be the best trip ever.:)
Have a wonderful trip Donna and I look forward to many stories and pictures when you return.
Have loads of fun Donna. Just one thing though, if you take a taxi in Cozumel, close your eyes!!!
Love Di ♥

The 6 of us kids saved for a year and sent mom and dad on a similar cruise for their 50th anniversary...that was back in '97. I will be anxious to hear your report and see many great photos!
